Milwaukee® BOLT™ Hard Hats & Accessories

Type 1 head protection is designed to help protect against impacts to the top of the head. Type 2 head protection is designed to help protect against impacts to the top and sides of the head.

Milwaukee BOLT™ Type 2 safety helmets are a strong choice for jobsites where users may be exposed to side impacts, slips, trips, falls, low-clearance areas, or work around equipment and structures.

The class rating relates to electrical protection. Class E head protection is designed to provide electrical insulation for users working around higher-voltage electrical hazards. Class C head protection is conductive and does not provide electrical insulation, but it is often vented for improved airflow and comfort.

Choose a Milwaukee BOLT™ Class E Unvented Safety Helmet when electrical protection is required. Choose a Milwaukee BOLT™ Class C Vented Safety Helmet when electrical insulation is not required and airflow is the priority.

Choose a vented Milwaukee hard hat or safety helmet when airflow and heat relief are priorities and electrical insulation is not required. Vented options are often preferred for general construction, maintenance, industrial, and trade work in hot or physically demanding environments.

Choose an unvented Milwaukee hard hat or safety helmet when the job requires Class E electrical protection or when vents are not appropriate for the work environment.

Milwaukee BOLT™ accessory compatibility allows users to attach compatible accessories directly to select Milwaukee hard hats and safety helmets. Depending on the product, BOLT™ accessories may include headlamps, face shields, marker clips, visors, sun protection, replacement suspensions, chin straps, and other jobsite accessories.

A hard hat suspension should be replaced if it becomes cracked, damaged, worn, stretched, contaminated, or no longer fits securely. Suspensions are an important part of the head-protection system because they help position the shell properly and absorb impact energy.
